I had the idea of publishing content of my website under GPL (Gnu Public License) long time ago when I had my first website. Unfortunately, I have never had this chance to publish the content of my website under one FREE license such as copyleft or GPL. With establishing Geeksweb.tk again I thought about getting license for my website content to allow all readers to publish/change and republish my work freely under certain license with keeping the produced work free as well. I knew about GPL and copyleft but I had no clue how to start and what were the steps to be taken. Therefore, I sent an email to GNU website ([email protected]) to ask about the licenses and procedure.
After few days, I have received an email with full explanation about how to publish my work. Here I attached received email which is great guideline for the people who interested to publish their work under free license like me.

Choosing a license for your work can be difficult. We recommend several, http://www.gnu.org/licenses/license-list.html#OtherLicenses.
For blogs, people looking for a copyleft license often choose Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike (CC BY SA) and variants of this license (such as CC BY SA ND). But even if you apply a license to your entire blog, individual blog posts, photos or even source code snippets within blog posts can be licensed differently than the rest of the blog. So if you were to put a block of your own source code in a blog post, you might choose to license that block of code under the GNU GPL or some other license. Each license is different, but, for the license you pick, you can easily find instructions for how to apply the license to your work.

After reading the email carefully, I selected Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike (CC BY SA) as a license for my work and here I am going to describe how to publish your work under CC BY SA or similar license from the same organization.
Firstly, you need to know about the rules and obligation of the license carefully. This link contains about rules and obligation of the license. Additionally, I recommend this page to read before you go further.
Secondly, after reading about the rules and if you agree with them, you need to select proper type of license based on your mind and your taste. This link describes about the variants of the licenses.
Then you need to make HTML code of your chosen license to add it to your website if you want. For getting HTML code based on your license please refer to this link.
NOTE: Keep in your mind that you do not need to register, pay, signing contract or doing any extra work more than mentioned steps. Furthermore, some licenses like CC BY-ND and CC BY-NC-ND, etc. are not compatible with Free Culture License.
